You may sign up by linking your Apple ID, Google account, or using email/password authentication (see Information Collected From Other Sources below). We assign a unique ID to your account to recognize you when signed in.
- For Billing: To process payments for subscriptions or one-time purchases, we collect payment information, including your name, billing address, email address, and credit/debit card details.
- For Customer Support: When you contact us (e.g., via email), we might ask for your name and email address, as well as any additional information you provide.
ii. A Note About Sensitive Personal Information
We do not collect sensitive personal information, such as government-issued IDs, racial/ethnic origins, political opinions, religious beliefs, health data, biometric data, sexual orientation, or precise geolocation (e.g., GPS data within a 1,850-foot radius). Please do not share such information with us.
iii. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, we collect information automatically using technologies like cookies, web beacons, and software development kits (SDKs). The categories include:
- Identifiers and Device Information: We collect your IP address, device identifiers (e.g., MAC address), advertising identifiers, operating system, browser type, and the unique ID assigned to your account. If your browser rejects cookies, some features may be unavailable.
- Geolocation Information: We collect your approximate location (e.g., city or zip code) based on your IP address to personalize content (e.g., ads) and comply with regional laws. We do not collect precise GPS location.

4. (A) In General
i. Communications Preferences
- Push Notifications: Opt out via your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
Non-marketing notices (e.g., account updates) cannot be opted out of while using the Services.
ii. Access, Correct, or Delete
You may:
- Access or receive a copy of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account (subject to legal retention requirements).
iii. Managing Your Account
Update your account information in the App’s settings. For subscriptions via Apple or Google, manage transactions through their platforms.
iv. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings screen by selecting "Delete Account" under the Support section. When you delete your account:
- Your account will be permanently removed from Firebase Authentication.
- All associated data will be deleted, including your user profile, gameplay history, purchase records, and any play tokens associated with your account.
- This action cannot be undone and all data will be permanently lost.
- Active subscriptions should be cancelled through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store before account deletion to prevent future charges.
- You may be required to re-authenticate before deletion for security purposes.

v. Browser and Platform Controls
- Cookies: Adjust browser settings to reject cookies, which may limit App functionality. See our Cookie Policy (linked in the App) for details.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor GPC signals to opt out of data “sales” or “sharing” where required.
- Mobile Advertising IDs: Limit tracking via iOS/Android settings.
- LiveRamp ATS: Opt out at https://optout.liveramp.com.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA:

We may de-identify data instead of deleting it, ensuring it cannot identify you.

7. Are There Guidelines for Children?
The Services are not directed at children under 13 in the USA or 16 elsewhere. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of laws like COPPA. If you believe we have collected such data, contact us at support@wordcloudtrivia.com, and we will remove it as required.
8. How Is Information Transferred Internationally?
Word Cloud Trivia is based in Illinois. If you use the Services outside the USA, your data may be transferred to the USA or other countries where we or our service providers operate. For transfers from the EU, UK, or Switzerland, we use safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses or rely on adequacy decisions by the European Commission.
9. What Is Our Legal Basis?
In jurisdictions like the EU, we process your information based on:
